Even Some In The Media Are Starting To View Trump As Useless
After a decade long love affair, some in the corporate media are waking up and realizing that giving Donald Trump breathless coverage is useless.
Many Americans have long known that when Donald J. Trump speaks, he often doesn’t really say anything. Much of the time, even before he began to decline, Trump spoke in circles, in generalities, and in contradictions.
For years, he was sort of a choose-your-own-adventure for people in the media, who could interpret him any way they wanted and not necessarily be wrong, because Trump was almost always vague.
Some in the media still haven’t caught on to the fact that the time to take Trump seriously is when he stops being vague and says directly what he is going to do over and over again.

The media was hoping that a second Trump administration would cause the same fear and must-read and watch consumption of news that led to both profits and relevance during Trump 1.0.
Americans seem to be much smarter than much of their media, as people are much less interested in what Trump is saying than in what he is doing and the consequences of his actions.
The slow realization that Trump isn’t the cash cow he once was, and that having access to the president isn’t a golden ticket to book deals and celebrity, is finally starting to sink in among some in the Washington, D.C., media.
