Even Republicans Are Balking at Trump's Most Corrupt Act in US History

Even Republicans are showing signs of slight shame over the historical level of self-dealing corruption in Donald Trump's nearly $1.8 billion slush fund from the taxpayers.

Yesterday was a real doozy as Donald Trump made history as the most corrupt president in US history. Today, even Republicans are showing signs of slight shame over the historical level of self-dealing corruption.

Trump’s DOJ created a $1.776 billion slush fund as part of the settlement in Trump’s bogus lawsuit against his own administration. Yes, Trump sued the IRS and then the president settled with the people who report to him. Surprise! He wins billions of your dollars to hand out to his criminal buddies.

CREW says he did this “quickly to avoid the scrutiny of the judicial process,” adding, “This is the most brazen act of self-dealing in the history of the presidency.”

“While Americans are struggling with an affordability crisis, President Trump plans to use nearly $1.8 billion in taxpayer money to pay off his friends and allies—including potentially the violent insurrectionists who attacked the Capitol on January 6th. By settling his absurd $10 billion lawsuit against his own administration, Trump and the Justice Department just engaged in the most brazen act of self-dealing in the history of the presidency, and did so quickly in order to avoid the scrutiny of the judicial process, while quite likely violating the Constitution’s Domestic Emoluments Clause in the process. This is one of the single most corrupt acts in American history.”

Donald J Trump is so corrupt that the top lawyer at the Treasury Department “suddenly stepped down on Monday…in the wake of the Trump admin’s $1.776 billion ‘anti-weaponization fund.’”

Yes, because Trump has fashioned himself after the very worst tyrannical autocrats in recent global history, he knows to label everything he does the opposite of what it really does. So his direct theft from the US taxpayer is called the “anti-weaponization” fund.

How’d he get this done so quickly? It seems the speed was the point. Trump knew he couldn’t afford for even the lapdog lawmakers you pay to help him cheat you take a good look at what he was doing this time.

It’s that bad.

In a Senate appropriations subcommittee hearing Tuesday morning, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said he’s not ruling out making payments to those who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, noting that “Anybody can apply.”

Sure, anyone can apply, but who will actually get approved for the money.

We can bet that only those willing to attack their own country to serve Donald Trump will see a dollar from the “anti-weaponization” fund, after all, it is Donald Trump who has weaponized the IRS against critics (and our own PoliticusUSA, whom his IRS tried to audit twice by two separate IRS offices over the same 2016 tax return over expenditures at the 2016 DNC, in spite of finding nothing out of order).

Rep. Don Bacon (R-Nebraska) told Politico the $1.8 billion fund set up by Trump admin “appears like conflict of interest and a partial process.” “We have the claimant negotiating with the defense, and the claimant also happens to be the boss of the defense.”

“The White House should bring in an independent arbitrator to protect itself from accusations.”

Indeed, the Trump DOJ claims these funds set up magically on Monday are to grant funds to people who have been targets of “weaponization and lawfare.”

James Comey, do you read?

To be clear, Todd Blanche would NOT rule out giving our taxpayer money Trump’s violent and criminal insurrectionists.
