I wish the Congressional Democrats would ask the Republicans if they’d be willing to take cuts to or give up their own health insurance first.

Well, with these amendment proposals, they are getting the Republicans on record with their votes.

Not good enough. They should be keeping up a barrage of outrage and need to make themselves heard.

I only wish I could get around Linda! My husband is messed up down a rabbit hole. He will only argue with me.

The bus can’t take me too far. I am 63 and disabled

I'm 75 and car-less, have trouble walking any distance and am dependent on friends for transportation. But I email friends and acquaintances, email and call my Congresscritters, and try to sign every petition that comes my way. I was an activist for civil rights and civil liberties from age 16 on until I suddenly discovered at about age 60 that I was too old to run away from the cops.

I was at the house yesterday, hoping to get into the hearing after 26 people were arrested and (several in wheelchairs) and after approx 50 disabled folks fighting for their rights. There were still 75 in line ahead of me. It was a wild ride with ACLU, planned parenthood, various disability rights organizations all waiting to get into the room. I felt like I'd stumbled into an Act Up meeting from the 70s or early 80s. It was glorious. So much strength in showing up. So much organizing. Keep showing up friends.

At age 78 I still shake my head in disbelief at the stranglehold Trump has on the GOP.

I will never understand how so many men and women have been so willing to forfeit their integrity.

The GOP cares nothing for the people they were elected to represent! Vote them all out in the midterms next year!

Damn it, it's about time. Now let's see if the Dems keep going with this or if they cave yet again. They should also be out in public yelling their heads off so that the people hear them.

It is still so hard for me to believe that the entire GOP house is willing to push so many working class Americans under the bus in order to enable those billionaires to avoid paying a fair tax— just look at what they are cutting to make this happen: air traffic controllers who keep our skies safe, the NIH which is or was the premier leader in keeping deadly viruses and bacterial infections at bay- now all our scientists are going to France. It is a brain drain that we may never recover from. It boggles the mind. So cudos to the Democrats for taking them to task. I am just hoping this story has a happy ending. We had it sooo good why do they want to take a wrecking ball to everything that was beautiful about our country.

The first 150 years of this country taxes were raised if unusual expenses occurred and lowered if income easily met expenses. Reagan's rediculous idea that cutting taxes on business and the rich would result in a booming economy has failed for 40 years or more. Trump's tax relief for the rich should end if for no other reason but to pay down the National debt. And cutting programs for the lower wage people to extend them is both cruel and foolish.

Democrats must do everything the Republicans are doing to enrich the rich Trump donors, at the expense of people on Medicaid. Thousands will die if Trump has his way, while others will go without much needed medical care. Democrats have to keep the pressure on, and make it a clear choice between right and wrong. So many people lives are at risk!

It would be nice to know the specific amendments that the Democrats were able to get written in… As far as has been reported, the Republicans are planning to cut Medicaid and go forward with their check cut for the Rich… I’m not sure what we’ve gained other than stalling the processDemocrats need to let the American public know exactly what the Republicans are pushing through and what specifically they have done to try to amend the bill, which which Republicans have denied.

I would like to take side step, trump is complaining about having to fly around in 40 year old Presidential planes but as I recall, he cancelled orders for replacement planes in 2017 or 2018 to "save money". STOP BITCHING BITCH!
