It is one of the ugliest things on the road, but at least they’re going to stop making more of them.

After wasting nearly $500M on the midterms and managing to turn Texas blue, Elon Musk said Tesla will wind down production of the much maligned Cybertruck.

Elon announced this on the social media platform he turned into a town hall for Nazi aligned bots.

“Tesla will be winding down production of the Cybertruck at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year to make room for increased Cybercab production,” the man who tried to buy Texas wrote.

The announcement caused Inside EV’s to label the Cybertruck “One Of The Greatest Flops In Automotive History.”

“That seals its position as one of the greatest automotive failures in history. That means it’ll live about as long as Ford’s Edsel—an automotive flop so epic that I learned about it in my high school history class,” they wrote of its short three year life.

Inside EV lays the blame right at Elon Musk’s feet:

This failure lies primarily with him. Musk’s culture of promising before thinking, and lying without shame, created the culture that built one of the most overhyped and under-baked products in modern automotive history. Its failure will be studied for decades to come as an example of executive incompetence, just like the Edsel. That much is written.

The Cybertruck is not only one of the ugliest things to ever be put on the road, it also became the butt of jokes as it got stuck doing things a “truck” is supposed to be able to do. Then, Elon’s Nazi salute sealed the deal for his brand, making the Cybertruck the symbol of collusion with evil.
