Election Night Was The Beginning Of The People Using Their Power

The decisive sweep by Democrats in elections across the country is a good reminder of the power of the people, which is exactly what Donald Trump wants you to forget.

Donald Trump wants you to give up your power. He attacks democracy like he admitted to attacking women: “I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. ... Grab ‘em by the p*ssy.”

He doesn’t even wait. He puts troops in cities to instigate violence with peaceful protesters and to attack women, children and the elderly — including US citizens. He orders his party mob picciotti and associates to “find” votes for him and to redistrict to give him seats he will lose because of his policies.

These are the actions of an autocrat; not the president of a free country.

But they depend on the reaction of the people, and at every turn Americans have shown up to protest, to protect their neighbors, and now to vote.
