It is election day, and we could use your support, so if you find reading our work as rewarding as we find writing it, please subscribe.

With cable news going into overdrive on election coverage since yesterday, and no I did not think anything could outdo the Super Bowl pregame for hours spent saying absolutely nothing of importance, but I was wrong. The last 36 hours of cable news coverage were a bunch of people sitting around waiting for election results to come in.

Sarah and I wanted to do something different for our subscribers, so we thought we do smaller newsletters on election day highlighting what is reportedly going on from people who are observing the election in critical states.

Let’s take a look at Pennsylvania first.

Good News For Kamala Harris In Pennsylvania

It would be hard to find a candidate and a campaign that put more effort into a state than the Harris campaign has put into Pennsylvania. To quote Johnny Cash, the Harris campaign has been everywhere, man. Harris inherited and built upon a massive get out the vote operation from President Biden and it appears to be paying off big.

First, let’s look at the hard data in terms of mail-in voting.

Here is the second update on mail in ballots from the state, keeping in mind that Democrats want to have a firewall of 400,000-500,000 votes, and Independent voters by mail split for Democrats 70/30.

1,892,614 votes cast

DEM: 1,044,697 - 86.9% returned

GOP: 622,861 - 86.9% returned

IND: 225,056 - 79.7% returned

Including the Independent mail vote for Harris, the Democratic firewall is right around 500,000+ votes. That is more than what Democrats were hoping for along with a cushion. Ballots that are dropped off at drop boxes will count until the polls close at 8 PM, so this is not the final tally.

This data alone would be really good news for Kamala Harris, but there is more.
