Dystopian Nightmare: Trump to Arm ICE with 'Compliance' Shock Gloves Used in Jails
The Trump administration will spend up to $20 million on "Force Multiplier" shock gloves sometimes used in jails for ICE to use on the streets of America.
The Trump administration is planning on spending up to $20 million tax dollars on “force multiplier” shock gloves for ICE to use on the streets of the United States of America.
These gloves are sometimes used in jails to gain compliance.
The AP exclusive reported “ICE plans to spend up to $20 million to purchase thousands of “conductive distraction and de-escalation devices” for officers and agents by March, according to a notice published Monday by the Department of Homeland Security.”

The devices are manufactured by Compliant Technologies of Lexington, Kentucky and called “Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter”, aka G.L.O.V.E. Their website calls it a force multiplier, “… This is why we call the G.L.O.V.E. the ‘Force Multiplier’.”
They look like normal patrol gloves until the officer presses a switch to activate the electricity.
They are actually capable of causing injury or death if terms are not followed or observed, according to a warning on their website:
Their website warns the GLOVE “may increase the affects that can cause sudden death including physiological changes with:
• Increase in blood pressure
• Changes in blood chemistry
• Increase in respiration and heart rates
• Changes in heart rhythm
• Increase in Adrenaline
• The longer the CD3 exposure, the greater the potential risk”
Compliant Technologies cautions that officers must not use “more than two (one pair or equivalent) of G.L.O.V.E. devices should be applied at one time to a single subject,” and “No more than 15-second activation duration should be deployed for a Level 2 ROE event.”
Given ICE’s shoot-first, ask-questions-later modus operandi, Congress should question giving them the authority over the duration of activation.
