DOGE DIARRHEA: Trump Admin Denies Colluding with Major Donor
The Trump administration is denying colluding with major Trump donor Taylor Farms after claiming a false positive pointed the finger at their donor after the donor claimed the FDA apologized to them.
After the FDA appeared to sit on its unvaccinated hands while a major Trump donor poisoned Americans with an explosive diarrhea parasite they might have caught had DOGE not fired so many specialists leaving the lab with just three people, the Trump administration is now denying colluding with Taylor Farms.
People couldn’t help but notice that Taylor Farms donated $1 million to Trump PAC Make America Great Again Inc in March of 2025 after the administration took back their initial claim that the explosive diarrhea parasite was coming from their major donor, saying it had been a false positive.

This is, after all, the administration run by the guy who amplified the Obama birth certificate conspiracy, among many others. Trump is a well documented conspiracy theorist who is now facing the results of a decade plus infestation of American politics with an extra heaping of distrust courtesy of his own mindset.
Newsweek reviewed the federal filing proving that Taylor Farms made the $1 million donation, reporting:
That information was highlighted in a post on X from MeidasTouch, a progressive media outlet, along with reporting from The New York Times that said a Taylor Farms spokeswoman confirmed that company executives had met with White House and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials on Thursday to discuss what it viewed as “shortfalls in the FDA’s and CDC’s outbreak response process”. The company has also recently hired former White House official Trent Morse, expanding its influence in Washington.
The Department of Health and Human Services denied the collusion implied by posts pointing to the donation on X Monday:
“This is how the FAKE NEWS works: imply collusion, ignore the facts. Nothing influences our decisions except science and the safety of the American people.”
The Trump administration is trying to push back against accusations of inappropriate political interference or collusion with major food suppliers by invoking science and public safety. But this is an administration that rescinded mandatory flu vaccines for the troops and Trump’s HHS canceled billions in public health grants used for vaccine outreach and clinics. It’s fair to say that science and public safety are not their forte.
The FDA said on Monday that while a laboratory test had incorrectly identified a positive result for cyclospora on a sample of lettuce from Taylor Farms, it did not change the basis for the agency’s “ongoing outbreak investigation or the overwhelming epidemiological data supporting the current voluntary recall by Taylor Farms.”
But Taylor Farms posted on their website claiming the administration run by the man to whom it donated $1 million had “apologized” to them for the false blame:
Today, FDA apologized to us.
Yesterday, FDA informed Taylor Fresh Foods that one of its iceberg lettuce products from central Mexico tested positive for cyclospora. Today, we were informed that FDA made a mistake, and this was a false positive. To be clear, at this moment, FDA has not identified a single positive product test result for Cyclospora.
The Trump FDA denied apologizing to its leader’s $1 million donor.
“The Food and Drug Administration said it still believes the explosive diarrhea parasite that has gripped the nation originated at Taylor Farms in Mexico — and officials insisted they did not apologize to the company,” the New York Post reported Monday.
It’s no wonder Americans don’t trust this government.
It didn’t help optics that the New York Times reported that Taylor Farms had met with the White House and FDA on Thursday “to try to distance the company from the outbreak and air concerns about the official investigations into the outbreak.”
The NYT noted, “Late Saturday, the Food and Drug Administration said a sample of iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico tested positive for cyclospora during ‘targeted import surveillance.’”
The administration now says that was a false positive.

This gets even more complicated for an administration run by people who don’t know what they don’t know, as DOGE had fired many of the experts in the cyclospora lab, and DEN seems confounded when a test was supposedly a false negative.
