As Donald Trump’s mind falters and his delusions grow, it appears that the president refuses to believe that he has ever lost a state. Donald Trump ran in three general presidential elections in the state of Minnesota, and he lost all three.

In 2016, Trump lost to Hillary Clinton by two points. In 2020, Trump lost to Joe Biden by seven points. In 2024, Trump lost to Kamala Harris by five points. Trump was never blown out in Minnesota, but two of his losses were solid defeats.

Trump has been carrying a grudge against Minnesota for years. It came out after the killing of George Floyd. The president has been demonizing Somalis in the state throughout both of his terms. After the political assassinations of Democratic state elected officials in Minnesota, Trump continued his crude attacks.

It follows recent history that Trump would refuse to share information with Minnesota authorities after Renee Good was murdered by one of Trump’s ICE agents in Minneapolis.

Trump was asked at the White House, “The state officials there have said that the FBI is not sharing evidence with them. Typically, they would conduct a joint investigation, as you know. Do you believe that the FBI should be sharing evidence with state officials in Minnesota?”

Trump admitted that federal officials are not sharing information, and gave his reason why:

Normally, I would, but they’re crooked officials.

I mean, Minneapolis and uh, Minnesota. What a beautiful place, but this being destroyed. it’s got an incompetent governor, fool. I mean, he is a stupid person. And, uh. It looks like the number could be $19 billion stolen from a lot of people, but largely people from Somalia. They buy their vote, they vote in a group, they buy their vote.

Uh, they sell more Mercedes-Benz in that area than almost anywhere. Can you imagine? You come over with no money and then shortly thereafter you’re driving a Mercedes-Benz. The whole thing is ridiculous, so they’re very corrupt people. It’s a very corrupt state.

I feel that I won Minnesota. I think I won it all three times.
