Democrats Will Destroy Matt Gaetz At Senate Confirmation Hearings
The House Ethics Committee reportedly confirmed allegations against Matt Gaetz, and that evidence will come out at his Senate confirmation hearings to be Trump's attorney general.

Matt Gaetz’s Resignation Was The Tip Of The Iceberg
Former Rep. Matt Gaetz tried to head off a House Ethics Committee report that was so damaging that it could have gotten him expelled from the House, which may have even led to a revival of the criminal investigation against him by abruptly resigning his seat.
This would be a minor news story and confirmation of years worth of reporting if not for the large detail that Matt Gaetz is Donald Trump’s choice to be the next Attorney General of the United States.
The Senate was already looking like it would be difficult to impossible to confirm Gaetz. Sen. John Fetterman went as far as to call Trump’s pick “God-level trolling.” Fetterman laughed and said that Gaetz wasn’t a serious choice and would not be confirmed by the Senate.
But how do Matt Gaetz’s now former House colleagues feel about him?
To put it mildly, they hate him and are happy that he is gone.
Here is how Rep. Max Miller described the reaction Gaetz's resignation to The New York Times:
“Most people in there are giddy about it. Get him out of here,” said Representative Max Miller, Republican of Ohio, speaking about his G.O.P. colleagues who were gathered to vote in leadership elections. He said Mr. Trump had plenty of other good options for nominees, but probably went with Mr. Gaetz to reward his loyalty.
Before Mr. Gaetz’s resignation was publicly announced, Mr. Miller suggested that if the Senate hearings unearthed new and convincing evidence that the misconduct allegations against Mr. Gaetz were true, his colleagues could expel him, as they did Representative George Santos late last year.
This is where the story would end in an ordinary world. Gaetz would go back to Florida and probably run for governor after Ron DeSantis leaves office, as has long been the rumored plan.
We are not living in regular times, so the American people are about to be treated to Matt Gaetz and the Senate confirmation process.
Democrats Are Going To Shred Matt Gaetz
The House Ethics Committee is not partisan. It is the only committee in the House where power is shared evenly between the two parties. Members are chosen for their committee based on their ability to be non-partisan. Thus, you never see someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene on the Ethics Committee.
The Committee has not decided whether it will release its findings in the Matt Gaetz investigation, but it should.
Former Speaker Kevin McCarthy has claimed since he left Congress that Gaetz had him ousted from power because McCarthy refused to abuse his power to make the investigation go away.
