Democrats Threaten Impeachment And Prosecution Of Any Official Who Blocks The Release Of The Epstein Files

Friday is the deadline for the DOJ to release the Epstein files, and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) laid out the consequences for any Trump administration official who blocks their release.

Democrats and, frankly, most Americans are expecting the Trump administration to try to play games and avoid releasing the full Epstein files on Friday. Democrats are preparing for Attorney General Pam Bondi and President Donald Trump to pull some maneuvers to try to block the release of all of the files.

The law that was passed by Congress and signed by the president requires the full release of the files tomorrow.

Rep. Ro Khanna, who, along with Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), led the effort to pass the legislation to require the DOJ to release the files, spoke on the House floor about the consequences that will come to those who block the files from being turned over.

Khanna said:

 Tomorrow at midnight is the deadline for Pam Bondi to release the Epstein files. That is what Thomas Massey and my bill calls for. It passed this body 427 to one, passed the Senate a hundred to zero, and the President signed it. Now, three federal judges have ordered the release of all of these files in Maxwell and Epstein’s grand jury.

Here is the reality. Any Justice Department official who does not comply with this law will be subject to prosecution for obstruction of justice. If Pam Bondi does not comply with the law, she will be held either in inherent contempt of Congress or subject to impeachment. We will not rest until the law is complied with and justice is served.
