Rep. Frost said:
He's trying to rig the system even more for the wealthy, for the billionaires, for the corporations. So it makes sense why many members of Congress like Greg Steube refuse to meet with people.
They don't want to face the people because they know what they're doing is incredibly unpopular. Incredibly unpopular. And as we've traveled this country, we've met with Democrats, we've met Republicans, we've met progressives, moderates, conservatives, and I can tell you this, everybody is very pissed off.
Because we know that this isn't about Democrats versus Republicans. It's not about where you are even on the ideological spectrum, but it's about the people versus the problem. It is about coming together as working people saying, we're not going to allow these billionaires and people who have caught the shots for so long.
To give us the crumbs they've always given us that in the richest country, on the face of the earth, everybody deserves healthcare. By virtue of being alive and nothing else,
That one job should be enough, and we should have not just a livable wage, but a drivable wage in this country for everybody.
…
I know we might not have all the seats we want in Congress, but I gotta tell you two things. Number one, I don't like to think of us as the minority party because. We're not in the minority in this country. Most people agree with us, but saying minority even starts, it makes you feel like defeat us.
Like we, we have less people. We're not the minority party, we're the opposition party, and we are going to oppose all of these billionaire tax cuts and theft of our people. But not just that, and I learned this as an organizer in many different places. Here in Florida, specifically, that when you don't have all the power you want, you best use all the power you got.
