Democrats Slam Trump for Failure to Reduce the Cost of Eggs
The Great Egg Debacle: Democratic lawmakers slammed Trump for his failure to lower the cost of eggs as he promised and offered him 6 steps he could take (like Biden was doing). Will he do it?

“We write to ask about your Administration’s plan to lower food prices for American families,” Democratic lawmakers wrote to Trump.
The price of eggs is often cited as a reason voters decided to put a felon accused of inciting an insurrection against our country back into the White House. The man promised to fix the price of eggs! He blamed Biden and Harris for the high price of eggs! He even told the sycophantic press that he won “on groceries.”
Cut to his first week in office, and is he doing anything about the price of eggs? Not so much, if he is to be judged by his actions.
Trump Busy Filling Streets of America with Violent Criminals
What about the “take action immediately” to reduce the price of eggs promise he made? Not so much. You see, he’s been busy filling the streets of America with violent criminals, aka, his supporters.
Trump’s first week in office has been spent taking broad use of the powers of his office, even attempting to overwrite the constitution itself by revoking a right given within it, attacking immigrants, undoing basic humanitarian progress, firing inspectors generals so that corruption can flourish sans accountability, and unleashing the violent criminals who attacked cops in his name upon the public.
Democrats Blast Trump for His Failure to Act
Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) along with 19 of their colleagues wrote Trump a letter (yes, I know) reminding him of his egg promise and trolling him with some simple solutions he could implement if he really cared.
Being Democrats, they cited actual governing steps he could try in order to address this problem that he believes got him elected. Oh, Democrats. Always trying to govern. The problem is, they cited corporate profiteering as one reason for the price hikes.
“Your sole action on costs was an executive order that contained only the barest mention of food prices and not a single specific policy to reduce them,” they wrote in a letter to Trump that was sent to us by Sen. Warren’s office.
“You have tools you can use to lower grocery costs and crack down on corporate profiteering, and we write to ask if you will commit to using those tools to make good on your promises to the American people.”
“To make food more affordable, you should look to the dominant food and grocery companies that have made record profits on the backs of working families who have had to pay higher prices.”
