Democrats Show Video Of Trump Cognitive Decline Then Walk Out Of Biden Senate Hearing

Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Grassley decided to hold a hearing on the "cover-up of Biden's cognitive decline." Senate Democrats responded by walking out and playing video of Trump's decline.

The Republican majority on the Senate Judicicary Committee decided that of all the things they could be investigating or talking about involving the Trump administration, the most important thing that they spend their time on was a hearing to explore the “cover-up of Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.”

The Democrats on the committee responded by not showing up to the hearing at all for the most part. Only Sens. Dick Durbin, who is the top Democrat on the committee and Peter Welch were there for the beginning of the hearing.

Durbin showed up to deliver remarks, and said:

 President Trump was at a press conference with British Prime Minister Kier Starmer and said the following, You all know the great PM of the UK, and we just signed a ment. President Trump continued. We just signed it. So we have our trade agreement with the EU. Britain has not been a party to the EU for five years, but President Trump made a statement, which clearly was wrong.”

Durbin then showed the committee a video collection of clips focused on Trump’s decline:

Durbin also said:

 Do any of these statements raise a question of cognitive ability? You be the judge.

If my colleagues are truly interested in issues of presidential succession and disability under the 25th Amendment, I would suggest they embark on this constitutional journey with a proposed amendment, not today's political adventure.

Durbin finished his remarks, closed his folder, and can be seen in the video walking out.

Sen. Welch told the committee that the hearing had no value to his constituents, and he walked out, leaving Republicans to talk among themselves about their Biden conspiracies.

Senate Democrats handled this hearing perfectly. If Senate Republicans like Chuck Grassley are going to abuse their oversight powers to pursue conspiracies, then Democrats should walk out.

Senate Democrats should not grant the hearing legitimacy by taking part in it.

As Jake Tapper found out, Americans mostly really don’t care about Joe Biden and last year.

The vast majority of Americans care about what is happening in the country right now.

Republicans and the media who helped Trump return to the White House don’t want to focus on the present. They would rather use Biden and the past as a distraction from what Trump is doing today.

Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee refused to play along, and even more importantly, used the hearing as a platform to highlight the Trump cognitive decline that Republicans and Americans should be most worried about.
