Donald Trump allies or those who wish to remain in his good graces now control ABC, CBS, Fox News, Newsmax, and will soon control CNN.

During his first term, Trump tried to force the sale of CNN to Rupert Murdoch. The president has long dreamed of ending any criticism of him on CNN and converting the network into a platform that mirrors.

CNN isn’t important for its domestic reach as much as its unmatched in the US television international news platform. With CNN in his back pocket, Trump can broadcast his MAGA propaganda globally.

The Paramount acquisition of WBD will go down as another watershed moment in the death of mainstream media, which became a center to generate corporate profits decades ago, but is now more overt in its willingness to put people and democracy last to make money first.

States can’t block the Paramount/WBD merger, but they can sue to block it, and that is the direction that California appears to be moving toward.

California Attorney General AG Rob Bonta said, “Paramount/Warner Bros. is not a done deal. These two Hollywood titans have not cleared regulatory scrutiny — the California Department of Justice has an open investigation, and we intend to be vigorous in our review.”

The merger will be rubber-stamped by Trump, and CNN, which was already watered down, is expected to get the CBS News treatment from Ellison.

However, if Democrats have their way, these MAGA media monopolies will be short-lived, as you will see below.
