Senate Democrats finally heard Sen. Raphael Warnock. The Georgia Democrat has been stumping for Southern Democratic Senate candidates for weeks and urging his party to spend some money in the South because this is the year that Democrats can make inroads in states where they have not been competitive for a very long time.

Sen. Warnock said on last Sunday’s Meet The Press:
Let’s be clear. Democrats can absolutely win in these states. In fact, the road to a Democratic majority in both houses of Congress is in the South. I spent the last week moving through North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi. When you look at these states, when you look at a state like Texas, the South will have an outsized role in determining who has the majority.
And I worry, to be very honest, that Democrats are missing a real opportunity to invest in a serious and sustained way in the South. If we would just lean in and stay in, through the election, and after the election, the kind of victory you saw us achieve here in Georgia, it is achievable in a place like Mississippi and all across the South.
Mississippi could be the next Georgia.
That means that with some effort on the part of Democrats, a formerly red state can be turned purple. It happened in Georgia. Before Georgia, it happened in Virginia.
Democrats are finally listening to Rev. Warnock.
