Democrats Intend To De-Trumpify The Government
House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said that Democrats will have to de-Trumpify the federal government.
One of the concerns that many Americans have is what sort of federal government the Democrats will take over when they return to power.
Between mass layoffs of federal employees and Trump’s politicization of key departments, Democrats will have a lot of work to do to restore the federal government’s responsiveness and functionality.

House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) discussed the need to de-Trumpify the government on MS NOW’s The Weekend.
Raskin said:
We need a sweeping de-Trumpification of the Department of Justice.
There are huge parts of the DOJ that have just been dismantled. For example, when they started off, they said they’re no longer going to enforce the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. They stopped monitoring the foreign subversion of American elections.
In other words, they want to facilitate all of that.
The pardon office was dismantled so it could become a totally political operation run out of the White House and Donald Trump’s brain and you know the political operatives.
So we need to re-establish the basic functions of the office and then we need to, we have to go after all of the corruption that pervades the Department of Justice and the rest of the government.
