Audiences Are Fleeing Mainstream Media
The biggest media companies badly wanted Donald Trump back in the White House.
They missed the days when they were the center of the news as a fearful nation turned to them to hold Donald Trump accountable.
However, the writing was already on the wall weeks before the 2024 election. When Jeff Bezos ordered The Washington Post to withhold its endorsement of Kamala Harris, which resulted in a reader rebellion with hundreds of thousands of canceled subscriptions, the message to the largest media companies and their billionaire owners was loud and clear.
Democrats would not tolerate big media supporting Donald Trump. More importantly, they wouldn’t stick around and give their attention and dollars to outlets viewed as bending the knee to Trump.
