Where is the breaking point for Republicans in Congress with Trump?

The secret to Trump’s political power isn’t that he has some magical skills or charisma. Trump’s power in the Republican Party has always been rooted in the fear that Republicans in Congress have of Trump’s power over Republican voters, and his ability to turn those voters against incumbents.

Trump has turned that power on Republican incumbent senators who have made his personal enemies list: Sens. Tillis, Cornyn, and Cassidy were all either chased into not running for another term or defeated in primaries because of Trump.

When Trump came for THEM, Republican senators realized that Trump has always only been in politics for himself, and he doesn’t care if individual Republicans lose their primaries, or if Republicans lose the midterm election.

Earlier this week, Trump admitted that he doesn’t care if Republicans lose the midterm election.

Senate Republicans, it seems, have finally seen the light, and the breaking point has been reached, which suggests that voters may not have to wait for the midterm election for Trump’s presidency to end.
