More Democrats with gravitas are stepping forward to defend former president Joe Biden from the seemingly endless media conspiracies and smear campaign that he continues to face.
Last week, former Democratic presidential nominee, US Senator, and Secretary of State, John Kerry defended the ex-president against allegations of cognitive decline.
On Sunday, former president Bill Clinton defended Biden during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning.
When asked if he ever had a moment where he thought Biden was unfit to run for president, Clinton answered, “No, I thought he was a good president. The only concern I thought he had to deal with was, could anybody do that job until they were 86 and we'd had several long talks. I had never seen him, and walked away thinking he can't do this anymore. He was always on top of his briefs.”
Clinton was asked if he saw any signs of cognitive decline in Biden, and he said, “No. So I didn't know anything about any of this, and I haven't read the book. I saw President Biden not very long ago, and I thought he was in good shape. But the book didn't register with me 'cause I never saw him that way.”
Former President Clinton responded to a question about why he didn’t read the book and he delivered an astute political observation, “I didn't want to 'cause he's not president anymore and I think he did a good job. And I think we are facing challenges today without precedent in our history. And some people are trying to use this as a way to blame him for the fact that Trump was reelected.”
Watch Bill Clinton:
Former President Clinton was correct. The allegations of cognitive decline are a way for the same Democratic elites who made a mess out of the Democratic Party and cost Democrats the White House to blame Biden for their defeat.
Biden was trailing in the polls and may have lost the election on his own, but the chaos and distrust that the elites caused when they pushed Biden out is something that the Democratic Party has not recovered from yet.
Many Democrats don’t trust their party after what happened to Joe Biden, and that is on the people who pushed the president out of the election.
More Democrats need to be stepping up like John Kerry and Bill Clinton. Before Barack Obama came along, Bill Clinton was the most successful Democratic president since 1968.
Clinton has the standing of being a former president, and millions of Americans appreciate the fact that he is willing to use his platform to set the record straight about Joe Biden.

About time, more need to step up in his defense. Biden did good work and there's no excuse for what is happening now other than media is afraid of Trump .
Thank you, President Clinton!👏👏👏👏👏
