Big Trouble Is Already Brewing For King Charles US Visit

Concerns are being raised about King Charles' visit to the US, with a British journalist worried about the risk of it being open season on the UK as Trump DOJ blocks UK police from Epstein files.

Donald Trump has invited the King to celebrate… the U.S.’s independence from a King, and trouble is already brewing.

King Charles III and his wife Queen Consort Camilla are coming to the US for their first official state visit from Monday, April 27 to Thursday, April 30, 2026, dates that coincide with the 250th anniversary of American independence.

Yes, the British King and Queen are coming to help us celebrate the date we declared independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776, motivated by issues like "taxation without representation" and restrictive British policies.

A pause while we pretend we can’t see Donald Trump’s monarchist salivation.

The British are already worried about this trip, between the Epstein and the Iran and the Trump of it all.

After all, Trump has attacked the UK publicly numerous times, repeatedly criticizing Prime Minister Keir Starmer as "no Winston Churchill" and accusing the UK of having "old broken down aircraft carriers" due to the UK's refusal to participate in the Trump-Netanyahu war in Iran.

So Obsessed with Harry

On Thursday, a group of reporters in the Trump-revamped White House Press Corps (read: many are propagandists) asked Trump about Prince Harry’s surprise April 2026 visit to Kyiv, where the Duke and British Army war veteran who served for 10 years called for the U.S. to show "leadership" on Ukraine.

It was an obvious set up for Trump to attack Harry, and Trump didn’t disappoint them. But he did fumble the ball.

Trump responded that Harry doesn’t speak for the UK, but he, Donald Trump, President of the United States, does.

“I know one thing, Prince Harry is not speaking for the UK. I think I am speaking for the UK more than Prince Harry. But I appreciate his advice very much,” Trump said, adding his usual mafia-esque touch with a menacing mention of Prince Harry’s wife, Duchess Meghan Sussex. “Prince Harry? How's he doing? How's his wife? Please give her my regards.”

This comes after Trump has threatened Harry’s immigration status, seemingly as a favor to random people in Britain, or maybe the Royal family itself, who would very much like it if Harry was forced to return home, and these random people have made it known in the media that they would rather he left his wife and children here.

Yikes. No wonder Harry and Meghan need so much security.

Open Season on the UK

British journalist Simon Marks expressed concerns about Trump ruining the King’s visit, noting that Trump’s claim to speak for the UK “is a ludicrous position for any president of the United States to take when referring to any other government. But then we get absolute clarity about the egg shells upon which the king and the queen will be walking next week when they are here in Washington, DC. He goes off on the riff about the ballroom, but then manages to take himself immediately to hitting out at the Prime Minister.”

“So how all of this is going to be choreographed next week? You know, when the king and the queen are with him, and when they are not with him, and he has access to reporters, including now propagandists, in that White House briefing room who are going to ask questions about the President’s view of the UK. But even while they’re here, there’s a tremendous risk that it’s going to be open season again.”
