Biden Hits House Republicans With A Veto Threat
Speaker Mike Johnson thought he could distract from his killing of the bipartisan border bill by offering up legislation that would only provide aid to Israel, but the Biden administration threatened to veto the House bill.
Here is the Biden veto statement from the Office of Management and Budget:
The Administration strongly opposes House passage of H.R. 7217, making emergency supplemental appropriations to respond to the attacks in Israel for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2024, and for other purposes.
