There doesn’t appear to be the votes in the Senate to pass a War Powers Resolution to block Trump’s efforts to escalate the war in Iran, but Congress does have other steps that it can take.

Numerous reports have indicated that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu convinced Trump to launch a war against Iran. Netanyahu has also been trying to resume the conflict and seemingly sabotage negotiations to end the war.

However, the Netanyahu regime continues to attack Gaza and Lebanon. Israel is reportedly starting to run out of some munitions.

The United States has been Israel’s arms supplier for these operations, but Sen Bernie Sanders is trying to do something about that.

Sen. Sanders announced that he will force a vote to block nearly half a billion dollars in arms sales to Israel.

The Senate will vote on:

S.J.Res.138 – To prohibit the $151.8 million sale of 12,000 BLU-110A/B general purpose 1,000-pound “dumb” gravity bombs and related logistics and technical support services.

S.J.Res.32 – To prohibit the $295 million sale of D9R and D9T Caterpillar bulldozers; spare and repair parts; corrosion protection; publications and technical documentation; pre-delivery inspections; U.S. Government and contractor support; technical and logistics support services; storage; and other related elements of logistics and program support.
