Lawmakers are hearing from angry constituents and they don’t have good answers to excuse the reckless “chainsaw” cuts of Trump and Musk, who are carving out room for more tax cuts for billionaires.

Republican lawmaker Rich McCormick was confronted by anger and outrage over federal layoffs and budget cuts by the Trump administration and Elon Musk’s DOGE during a town hall. A constituent even accused McCormick of failing to stand up for constituents.
