Trump’s Freedom 250 kickoff to a 16-day exposition was a partisan snooze with the lawn only partially full an hour before his speech and audience members leaving early.

He didn’t get it.

Trump’s Freedom 250 kickoff to a 16-day exposition was a partisan snooze because in order to pull back from being the rabid attack dog he postures as in his rallies, Trump has to read from the teleprompter and that is always a bore.
The grassy lawn area was about half full prior to the speech according to the AP, perhaps reflecting the dwindling level of support we see for Trump in polling.
CNN interviewed audience members ahead of Trump’s speech, giving us “non-partisan” images like this double MAGA-hatted “fight fight fight” t-shirt wearing Trump supporter, who told critics to “just shut up.”
This must be an example of the reaching across the aisle we’ve heard so little about from mainstream media since Trump took office.
