The fact that Tennessee Republicans have expelled one of the three Democrats who voiced support for a gun safety protest on the state house floor should not come as a surprise to anybody who has been watching MAGA hollow out the Republican Party for nearly eight years.

Republicans don’t seem to be thinking about the consequences of their attacks on democracy, but the expelled state Rep. Justin Jones had a warning for them.
