As Republicans hide from their angry constituents, Senator Bernie Sanders led the way with a packed, 3,500 crowd at a “Fighting Oligarchy” rally in Kenosha, Wisconsin, with around 500 people turned away.
“Wisconsinites packed an arena to see a politician speak Friday night. It was Bernie Sanders, who was in Kenosha as part of his national Fighting Oligarchy tour. Around 3,500 people came to see the Vermont senator and former Democratic presidential primary candidate. Another 500 were turned away after the University of Wisconsin-Parkside’s basketball stadium reached capacity,” WPR reported.
Sanders’ adviser Faiz Shakir captioned a video of the crowd, “If you build it, they will come.” (Link to a video that shows the crowd on X, which no longer allows embedding on Substack.)
If you’re wondering if he will come to your area, the Vermont Independent is in Warren, Michigan for a similar rally today, at 4 PM:
