Art is inherently anti-fascist because it gives a voice to movements and is a powerful tool for social and political change. Behold: Artistic resistance.
All art is resistance, except for propaganda (e.g., Riefenstahl) and AI-generated forms (which both lacks & devalues humanity, and further destroys our planet).
Art is a beautiful form of resistance, but voting is more important. EVERY American must be honest with him or herself and ask what single thing Stupido has ever done to benefit them personally. We have to forgive each other and purge this country of these rascals before it's too damn late! VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO!
I have been both entertained and encouraged by the Portland response, With all the live streaming of the inflatable animals, brass bands, naked bike rides with "die ins" it is pretty hard to convince a court that the city is burning to the ground.
One thing that I would like to see is a replay of the scene from Spartacus, with people in the crowd standing and shouting "I am Antifa" one after the other.
If t***p has/can take away free speech (and, I presume, the right to peaceably assemble) does that also mean that when Republicans lie to the American people they are doing something illegal (free speech) and should be arrested for committing a felony? Defamation: False statements that harm another person's reputation (defamation) are not protected.
As a collage artist, Iβve been doing more and more βpoliticalβpieces. My latest work highlights the alt-rights push to take away womenβs rights. Costume,
performance and visual arts can all be utilized as means to create focus on human rights. As well as informing others they are cathartic for the artist. Thereβs a reason that freedom of expression is squashed early on in an authoritarian/ fascist movement.
Thank you for this! Just goes to show that we can use ridicule to expose evil. I love the Portland bunny's sign: "Dude, What the Fuck" signed JESUS.
It's an axalotl which is even more glorious!

Absolutely agree art is speech. And humor is the easiest way to get your point across...the best form of non-violent resistance.

Art is a joyful resistance!
I've always loved political cartoonists, but these are wonderful too.
LOVE IT
