AOC Shreds Marjorie Taylor Greene Over The Bad Bunny Situation

MAGA has been in a state of meltdown since the NFL announced that rapper Bad Bunny would be the halftime performer at the Super Bowl. AOC had the perfect response to Marjorie Taylor Greene.

If you have come across Fox News or any conservative media lately, the big topic of conversation hasn’t been that Republicans have shut down the government, and the troops that they claim to love with their little red, white, and blue hearts aren’t being paid.

The Bad Bunny outrage has been going strong for well over a week now on the right, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene got in on the act by raging over the Super Bowl halftime show featuring a Spanish-language performer.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is no fan of Rep. Greene, to put it mildly.

She responded to Greene’s outrage by saying:

 I wanna call your attention to this, the whole Bad Bunny situation. Marjorie Taylor Greene, is like super upset because he said, y’all have four months to learn Spanish.

And I wanna let you know, I’ve worked on a committee with this woman. I’ve seen her try to read; they’re not mad because he’s speaking Spanish. They’re mad, and she’s mad because she can barely speak English. And the idea of introducing any more words is too much to bear. I don’t. She may have just learned acetaminophen this week.

There has been lots of talk on the right about how the Super Bowl is an American show and the halftime performer needs to be an American.

Bad Bunny is from Puerto Rico. He is an American. Even though may on the right will argue that Puerto Ricans aren’t Americans, they are. Puerto Rico is a US territory.

As far as the Super Bowl being an event for Americans is concerned, the NFL is actively trying to change that.

The Super Bowl is broadcast worldwide, and one reason the NFL chose Bad Bunny is to expand into Spanish-speaking countries and other nations globally.

The NFL desires global sports dominance, and the notion that the league is strictly for Americans contradicts its global ambitions.

Greene’s comments were racist against Spanish-speaking people, which has become as common in Trump’s second term as breathing for the right. Trump’s immigration raids target Spanish-speaking people.

Bad Bunny is a global star.

People like Donald Trump and the members of his party are dinosaurs who are trying to go back to the past and resist the inevitable change that is coming.

Trump might be successful for a moment or two, but eventually the Donald Trumps will go extinct, and change will come.
