Americans Hate the Big Beautiful Bill So Much It's Making History
The unpopularity of Trump's legacy legislation is making history. Even as Republicans spin and lie about their 'Big Beautiful Bill,' the American public hates it. With a passion.

“The more they learn about this bill, they hate it just as much,” CNN’s data analyst Harry Enten said. “I've been going through the historical books and trying to find a piece of legislation that looks more likely than not to pass, and seeing if there is one as unpopular as the big, beautiful bill. And the bottom line is, Omar, I can't find one. This one is in the history books, and for all of the wrong reasons, as far as the American public is concerned.”
Trump’s bill has a net favorable rating ranging from -19 to -29 points. This indicates widespread disapproval. Quinnipiac University polls show a consistent -26 points since early June. The bill is seen by the American public as harmful to American families, with only 23% believing it helps compared to 49% who think it hurts.
This is Trump’s legacy:
Harry Enten: “Yeah, if we're talking about adjectives, how about they think it's awful. They think it's horrible. And to quote our colleague Charles Barkley, ‘terrible, terrible, terrible.’
“What are we talking about here? Well, let's take a look at the net favorable rating on the big, beautiful bill. I don't just got one poll for you. Omar, I got five of them, and the net favorable rating minus 19 points. Washington Post minus 20 points. Pew Research Center, Fox minus 21, Quinnipiac University minus 26, KFF minus 29.
“You don't have to be a mathematical genius to know that when the net favorable rating of your bill is somewhere between minus 19 and minus 29 points, that it is not a positive bill as viewed by the American public. The American public at this particular point, hate, hate, hate the big, beautiful bill. As far as they're concerned, it's not a big beautiful bill. It's a big, bad bill.”
How about when they got more details, did the American public like it better then?
“No. You know, we have Quinnipiac University. They hated it in early June when the net favorable rating was minus 26 points. And look at where we are in late June. It's the same minus 26 points.”
“The more they learn about this bill, they hate it just as much. I've been going through the historical books and trying to find a piece of legislation that looks more likely than not to pass, and seeing if there is one as unpopular as the big, beautiful bill. And the bottom line is, Omar, I can't find one. This one is in the history books, and for all of the wrong reasons, as far as the American public is concerned.”
Trump's legacy legislation is making history because it is loathed so much.
And that is fitting for the convicted felon and adjudicated sexual assaulter and fraudster. We would expect no less.
The Republicans who vote for Trump’s legacy of harming American families, including Senator Josh Hawley who voted for this bill but claims he doesn’t support it, are tied to these negative numbers. They are making history supporting a hated bill that will hurt the poor and working class to help billionaires.
This is who they are now, except for Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), who is not running for reelection after voting no.

I loathe it. Taxing billionaires is the logical answer they’d never miss the money.
If the Republicans pass this, there will be an Imeachment Majority in the House and a Conviction Majority in the Senate come January 3, 2027, and Dilbert Dumbfuck will be out on his ass by the end of the month. Then we get rid of Corporal Couchfucker on a charge of Being A Douche, and then charge Dilbert in court for all the new crimes he's committed.
