It’s starting. Accountability has reared its head for ICE agents who’ve been engaged in a terror campaign across the country for Donald Trump.

In case the DA described as being investigated as an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent identified as Mario Morales has been indicted by a county grand jury, according to Click 2 Houston.
(DA) previously told KPRC 2 the case was being investigated as an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, pointing to surveillance video that he described as showing an “intentional” strike.
Surveillance video obtained by ABC13 showed an unmarked SUV carrying ICE agents running over 48 year-old Miguel Parra-Hernandez during a pursuit at a shopping center in Texas on October 10. An investigator found that the agent appeared to accelerate and turn directly toward Parra-Hernandez as he fled on foot.
After watching surveillance footage of the crash from a nearby business, Teare’s investigator observed that the agent accelerated toward Parra Hernandez, made a “clear turn to the left” and lined up his vehicle straight toward Parra Hernandez.
The agent then struck Parra Hernandez, who had his back to the Jeep as he was running away, the investigator wrote.
Parra-Hernandez suffered severe leg injuries and underwent surgery.
A Harris County grand jury indicted Morales following an investigation into an October 10 enforcement operation. The charges are unclear at this point.
“As ICE officers attempted to apprehend the illegal aliens, Miguel Parra-Hernandez ran in front of an ICE vehicle and was struck,” a spokesperson for ICE in Houston told the Texas Tribune at the time.
However, a lawyer for Parra-Hernandez said the client does not even know the supposed target, Jose Mendoza-Cervantes.
The New York Times reported that the man ICE claimed to be targeted had been dead for nearly 10 years, according to his sister.
Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare said in an interview at the time that he believed the ICE agent intentionally hit Parra-Hernandez. He added that “a charging decision is going to come in a relatively short order in this case.”
