1/6 Police Officers To Hit The Campaign Trail For Biden
Donald Trump likes to present himself as the pro-law enforcement candidate, which is odd considering the number of felonies the ex-president is currently charged with along with the fact that one of Trump’s favorite hobbies appears to be threatening law enforcement officers.
However, some of the police who defended our democracies and put their lives on the line for our freedom won’t be campaigning for Trump. Instead, they will be visiting swing states to urge support for President Biden.
The Biden campaign announced:
Ahead of the June 27 presidential debate, police officers who were attacked and injured on January 6, 2021, will campaign for President Biden in key battleground states including Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and New Hampshire.
The officers, including Sergeant Aquilino Gonell, Officer Harry Dunn and Officer Daniel “Danny” Hodges, will underscore how Donald Trump snapped after losing the 2020 election, including making the violent January 6 attack on the Capitol a “cornerstone” of his 2024 campaign, promising to be a dictator on “day one” if he is elected, saying there would be a “bloodbath” if he loses again and promising to pardon January 6 rioters.
The officers will meet with local elected officials, law enforcement organizations and community members to raise the alarm about the threat Donald Trump poses to our democracy as well as the ongoing threat of political violence under a second Trump term.
If anyone has experienced the threat that Donald Trump poses to the security of the nation, it is these brave officers.
While Trump tries to dodge accountability for the 1/6 attack in court, the message that is being sent by these officers about democracy is what we will discuss below.
